How I Created 10X More Videos With This Tried-And-Tested Process ⚡️

Read Time: 4 Minutes
Are you finding it hard to crack the consistency code when creating high-quality videos?
With the demand for video only increasing, you must find a way to create an always-on stream of content to keep you front of mind and market your business as the best-of-the-best.
For most of you, this will be a distant dream. The day-to-day priorities take over, and content falls to the bottom of the to-do list.
But that stops today.
This week, I’m sharing how I created over a month’s worth of engaging posts in just two days, without impacting my day-to-day workflow.
“Document, don’t create”.
The mantra was coined by Gary Vee; a successful entrepreneur with a lot of his online presence established through multiple posts every single day.
Granted, we can’t all create content like Gary. After all, he’s got a dedicated team that is paid to develop, promote, and market him like no other personal brand on the planet.
But there’s a method to his madness.
I find myself often questioning the value of spending hours planning the ‘perfect’ video, and whether or not the value is in either the quality or quantity.
Whilst high-end, premium, and well-planned videos have their place from a brand perspective, from an awareness standpoint, it’s much more viable to document the process and post as regularly as you can. Well, as long as you’re not just posting content for the sake of content…
Documenting your process > Content > Attention = Customers.
It’s a simplistic, yet tried-and-tested process that you’ll probably be overcomplicating.
While away for work in Greece this week, I tested this well-known concept out and was astounded by what I could capture. Here’s a breakdown of the content I created while I was also doing the day-to-day:
Several short-form videos about our new client, the work we’re doing, and travelling to Greece.
A long-form video alongside my creative director that talks about how far we’ve come in business since we launched back in 2018.
A photo of my dad and I working in collaboration on a new project as two separate established agency owners.
Over 20 images that I’ve turned into decks and compilations for multiple platforms.
A behind-the-scenes vlog of our trip, showing the ins and outs of our service as a video production agency.
Before you say I’m lucky, and have all of the bells and whistles when it comes to camera equipment; all of this was created on either my phone or a very basic camera, alongside apps that I can download on my mobile and edit on the go with.

I managed to make all of this content during the running order of my week and didn’t feel that it increased the pressure or stress on my key responsibilities. I did this by:
Having a mobile phone with a high-quality camera at the ready.
Understanding the general flow of each piece of content beforehand.
Including breather moments throughout the day so I’m not back-to-back and trying to catch my breath.
Having my team film on their phones to capture different perspectives.
Finding powerful stories within everyday situations that I can turn into a Setup, Conflict, and Resolution post (check out my previous newsletters for this guide).
Most marketers, founders, and business owners that I know try to perfect their online presence with over-produced posts, and end up losing their personal touch.
Truthfully, your videos don’t need to pull out all the stops if you’re posting them on social media.
Yes, they’ve got to align with your overall marketing strategy and goals. But they don’t need to be works of art. Instead, they should help to differentiate you and position you as the expert in your space.
Saying that, if consistency is your focus, I’d consider approaching your videos with this mantra in mind:
“Perfectionism gets in the way of doing. Done is better than perfect”.
