Ready for the Challenge? 25 Video Ideas to Level Up Your Content 🚀

Read Time: 5 Minutes

Creating videos is not as fast, easy, and instantly rewarding as a lot of the experts are telling you. Welcome to the internet…

Chances are, you’ve been on the fence about making your first video for quite some time after consuming hundreds of them online, and you’re feeling the pressure to jump in and create - but please don’t do this.

Instead, take a step back. Think about this methodically, and spend time planning one of the following 25 video ideas that you can then use to kickstart your video marketing plans for the rest of the year.

Let’s break it down.

Here’s a list of 25 easy-to-make videos that get you on the first step of your long-term video journey:

  • 1) Brand Story Time: Give your audience the landscape of your brand's journey, quirks, and what makes you awesome.

  • 2) Meet the Team: Showcase the faces behind your business and let your audience connect with the personalities that make things happen.

  • 3) Product Spotlight: Highlight your best-selling product with a demo video to show how it's a game-changer in your industry.

  • 4) How It's Made: Be authentic, and take viewers on a tour or reveal the process of crafting your products or services.

  • 5) Customer Reviews: Turn happy customer testimonials into heartwarming video clips that build trust with your viewers.

  • 6) FAQs: Answer the burning questions that your customers keep asking. This will save you hours of precious time.

  • 7) Product Unboxings: Unveil new products and arrivals with a video that gets your customers excited.

  • 8) Product Tutorials: Teach your audience how to use your products effectively to ease concerns or future questions.

  • 9) Behind-the-Scenes: A personal favourite of mine. Peel back the curtain and show the chaos and fun that goes into creating your magic.

  • 10) Industry Insights: Share your expertise by discussing trends, tips, and tricks relevant to your field.

These 10 are by far some of my go-to’s when I’m stuck for video ideas, which happens a lot more than you think. But these next 10 are great additions to your marketing arsenal too:

  • 11) Explainer Videos: Break down complex concepts and information with fun, easy-to-understand explainer videos.

  • 12) Day in the Life: Document a typical day in the life at your business, including the meetings, coffee breaks, and all of the action.

  • 13) Office Shenanigans: Capture funny office moments that reveal your team's unique camaraderie in spur-of-the-moment videos.

  • 14) Throwbacks: If you have a community of loyal fans, they’d love to hear more about your journey and where you’ve come from.

  • 15) Trending Topics: Jump on trending topics or challenges that align with your brand's vibe, and be reactive.

  • 16) User-Generated Content: Share content that your customers create, showcasing their love for your products or services.

  • 17) Hacks and Tips: Offer hacks that make life easier or share tips that enhance your products or service usage.

  • 18) Meet the Founder: Give your audience a peek into your/your founders’ own story and what led them/you to start.

  • 19) Collaborations: Team up with influencers, friends, colleagues, or other companies that you could make valuable videos alongside.

  • 20) Employee Spotlights: Showcase your teams’ unique talents and hobbies, and build personal connections with viewers online.

Honestly, I could keep going. In fact, here are five more that I think will put the icing on the metaphorical cake:

  • 21) Ask the Audience: Let your viewers make choices, and create a video series that heavily involves decisions from your audience.

  • 22) Personal Challenges: Highlight more of your personal side with a challenge you’re facing, and how you’re solving it.

  • 23) Opinion Pieces: Share your thoughts on industry news, trends, or hot topics. These are always great conversation starters!

  • 24) Milestone Celebrations: Celebrate achievements like hitting revenue, or onboarding new clients, with your community.

  • 25) Your Future Vision: Share your company's future goals and plans, inviting your audience to be part of the journey and follow along.

If those 25 video ideas don’t spark your creativity, it might be that video just isn’t for you. After all, it’s not for everybody!

If one of these ideas does get your creative juices flowing, then make that idea your priority and begin the planning stages. Don’t get stuck in planning mode - get out there and get filming.
